  • This is Funny Girl and her new lambs. The black one is a ram lamb and the white one a ewe lamb.

Their names are chosen! I asked for suggestions and received several, 3 people sent in Sadie and Nick from the songs in the movie Funny Girl. That seemed very appropriate.

Although her name isn't so attractive she gave us beautiful Chocolate Merino roving. You can see how black her wool is here, she was sheared about a month before the photo was taken. After she spends the summer in the sun, the top 1/2 to 3/4 inch of wool will sun bleach creating the dark chocolate color when it is cleaned and combed into roving.

    Lunch time!!!

Funny Girl is now in one of God's pastures. This page will remain as a tribute to one of our spoiled ewes who ruled me.
